Huawei and Turkcell have signed a memorandum at MWC 2025 to innovate network infrastructures using 5G-A technology, focusing on smart cities, high-speed broadband, and sustainable communications.
Strategic Partnership for Next-Generation Networks
On March 9, 2025, during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Huawei and Turkcell formalized their commitment to network innovation through a significant memorandum of understanding [1]. The partnership encompasses several groundbreaking technical initiatives, including the implementation of Tunnel Antenna Technology for optimized coverage and reduced cable usage, as well as Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) Technology for enhanced localization and motion detection capabilities [2]. A notable innovation is the Supersite Technology, which utilizes satellite backhaul to ensure redundant and sustainable communication networks [1].
